ANNOUNCEMENTS:

*Rosholt High School will present their one-act play "That's Not How I Remember It" on January 21 at 12:30 p.m at the Rosholt Community Center. The senior class will serve a taco bar before the show from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Advanced tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students. Children not yet in school are free. Tickets can be purchased from any senior, play cast member or contact Kim Davidson at (605)880-8453 to reserve and pay at the door. Cost of show only will be collected at the door with prices the same as game events, $6 adults and $4 students.

*9th-12th band and chorus students going on the Chanhassen trip on April 20th-21st, your $20.00 deposit is DUE – please give it to Mrs. Kemnitz ASAP!

*Girls Basketball– if you have sold your raffle tickets – please turn the ticket stubs and money into Jill. There are also more books available if you want to pick more up. Thanks!

*Snowball week is this week! (January 15th-19th)

· The dress up days are:

o Wednesday: Beach Day 

o Thursday: Jersey

o Friday: Class Color​

o The dance will be at the Community Center following the basketball game on Friday.

o If you have any guests from out-of-town attending, you will need to sign them up by 4 pm on Wednesday, January 17th. The sheet is hanging in Ms. Vrchota's room.

*LaDean & Joan Hettich have donated 500# of Hamburger - All Natural, Extra Lean, Drug Free, Home Raised Beef to be raffled off as a Tri-State Lady Tigers Basketball Fundraiser:

o Tickets are: 1 ticket for $2.00 or 6 tickets for $10.00

o There will be 5-100# bundles of hamburger raffled off

o The drawing will be on Monday, February 12th at the final basketball home game - vs Waverly/South Shore in Rosholt. Need not be present for drawing.

Seniors:

· New Effington Alumni Scholarship application forms are available in the office. If you have a parent or grandparent who graduated from NEHS – you are eligible for this scholarship. Completed forms are due by April 10th!

· Rosholt Alumni Scholarship application forms are available in the office. Every senior is eligible for this scholarship – stop in the office to pick up the form. Completed applications are to be returned to the office by April 20th!

· Seniors whose parents are members of Traverse Electric Cooperative are encouraged to apply for the $1,000 Basin Electric Scholarship. Applications are due before February 14, 2018

· Venture Communications Citizenship and Community Service Scholarships are being offered to graduating seniors who are part of the cooperative. This year there are 12 scholarships available. Applications can be found on the website: venture.coop/why-venture/scholarships. Information sheets are available in the office.

· The Foundation for Rural Service is offering national scholarships, valued at $2,000 to graduating seniors. If a student from the Venture Communications service area is awarded one of these scholarships, Venture Communications will add an additional $500.00 to the scholarship. Information and scholarship applications are available in the office. Applications are due by February 14, 2018

· Venture Communications Citzenship and Community Service Scholarships are being offered to graduating seniors who are part of the cooperative. This year there are 12 scholarships available. Applications can be found on the website: venture.coop/why-venture/scholarships. Information sheets are available in the office. The Foundation for Rural Service is offering national scholarships, valued at $2,000 to graduating seniors. If a student from the Venture Communications service area is awarded one of these scholarships, Venture Communications will add an additional $500.00 to the scholarship. Information and scholarship applications are available in the office. Applications are due by February 14, 2018

*LaDean & Joan Hettich have donated 500# of Hamburger - All Natural, Extra Lean, Drug Free, Home Raised Beef to be raffled off as a Tri-State Lady Tigers Basketball Fundraiser:

o Tickets are: 1 ticket for $2.00 or 6 tickets for $10.00

o There will be 5-100# bundles of hamburger raffled off

o The drawing will be on Monday, February 12th at the final basketball home game - vs Waverly/South Shore in Rosholt. Need not be present for drawing.
