*Snowball week is next week! (January 15th-19th)

· The dress up days are:

o Monday: Pajamas

o Tuesday: Patriotic

o Wednesday: Beach Day

o Thursday: Jersey

o Friday: Class Color​

o The dance will be at the Community Center following the basketball game on Friday.

o If you have any guests from out-of-town attending, you will need to sign them up by 4 pm on Wednesday, January 17th. The sheet is hanging in Ms. Vrchota's room.

*Sophomore class – please bring 2 – 2 liter bottles of pop for “Pop Shot” by next Thursday, January 11th!

*If you have a school calculator return it to Ms. Vrchota - please. Missing 1 and 2 of the black and grey graphing calculators and a handful of the TI-30s. Thank you!​

*9th-12th band and chorus students going on the Chanhassen trip on April 20th-21st, please have your $20.00 deposit to Mrs. Kemnitz by Friday, January 12th!

*LaDean & Joan Hettich have donated 500# of Hamburger - All Natural, Extra Lean, Drug Free, Home Raised Beef to be raffled off as a Tri-State Lady Tigers Basketball Fundraiser:

o Tickets are: 1 ticket for $2.00 or 6 tickets for $10.00

o There will be 5-100# bundles of hamburger raffled off

o The drawing will be on Monday, February 12th at the final basketball home game - vs Waverly/South Shore in Rosholt. Need not be present for drawing.

o Contact a girls’ basketball player to purchase tickets!

· CRE @ St. John’s; 1-6th grades at 3:00; CRE for 7th–12th grades- meal@ 6:15, classes @ 7:00pm

Thursday, January 11th:

· RoSoDak meeting at 12:15 in Mrs. Foltz’s room

· GBB vs Enderlin in Rosholt; JV at 6:00; Varsity to follow

Friday, January 12th:

· BBB in Wilmot; C-Squad at 5:00; JV & Varsity to follow; Bus leaves at 3:45

Sunday, January 14th:

·         Tri-State Tigers Fellowship of Christian Athletes is back baby!  Our 2018 kickoff meeting is scheduled for this Sunday, January 14th, at Monty and Leanne Wiertzema’s shop at 5:00pm.  FCA is open to any students in grades 7-12.  Resolve to be involved.  Talk to Mr. Schiltz if you have any questions.


· Seniors whose parents are members of Traverse Electric Cooperative are encouraged to apply for the $1,000 Basin Electric Scholarship. Applications are due before February 14, 2018 

· Venture Communications Citizenship and Community Service Scholarships are being offered to graduating seniors who are part of the cooperative. This year there are 12 scholarships available. Applications can be found on the website: Information sheets are available in the office. 

· The Foundation for Rural Service is offering national scholarships, valued at $2,000 to graduating seniors. If a student from the Venture Communications service area is awarded one of these scholarships, Venture Communications will add an additional $500.00 to the scholarship. Information and scholarship applications are available in the office. Applications are due by February 14, 2018
