Artist Mary Wipf-Wick will be completing a two-week residency at Rosholt School beginning October 15, 2018. Mary will be working with students in grades 9-12 to create a mural in the gym section of the building. This mural will be created to reflect the rich history of Rosholt teams. It will combine Rams, Raiders, Tigers in a collage type painting.  Adult community members are invited to participate in the mural painting. A community night is planned for October 22nd beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the school gym. Each adult will paint a small section of the mural with the help of Ms. Wipf. There are limited openings for this experience. If you are interested in being involved, please text Kim Davidson at (605)-880-8453 or call the school and leave your name.  We are also looking for images to be included in the mural. If you have pictures, logos, team mottos, school song words, etc from past Rosholt teams, please get them to Kim Davidson

The annual influenza clinic offered through Roberts County Health will be held Wednesday October 10th at the Sisseton High School from 4:30-6 PM.   Immunizations will be free for all Roberts County residents 6 months and older.  For more information please click here for the informational flyer.

The 2018/2019 School Calendar was recently amended to include an early dismissal on THURSDAY OCTOBER 25.  Students will be dismissed at 12:30 for a teacher in service.

The Rosholt School recently implemented a pilot program using mass customized learning in few courses within in a few content areas at the Middle and High School levels this academic year.  Click here to view a video from Bea McGarvey, a leading researcher and proponent of Mass Customized Learning and author of Inevitable: Mass Customized Learning, that explains some of the central ideas and tenants of the new system that is currently being piloted in the Rosholt High School and Middle School.

Rosholt School Mission

     It is the mission of the Rosholt School District to provide a quality education in a safe environment that will allow each student the opportunity to develop mentally, morally, and socially to his or her fullest potential.

     The Rosholt School District is located on Hwy 127 on the western edge of town, in the extreme northeast corner of South Dakota. The town consists of hard working and dedicated individuals who have helped create a strong community and "Exemplary School" as defined by the South Dakota Department of Education. The Rosholt School is one facility K-12. The elementary wing was completed in 2003 and houses about 80 students in grades K-5. While the Middle School and High School wings are together and consist of about 123 students. The third wing of the school, which was just completed in 2009, contains the Music Department, Wellness Center, administration, and Gym.

SD School Performance Index

The South Dakota Department of Education recently released their School Performance Index ratings for the 2016-2017 school year.  Rosholt received an "Exemplary High Performance" ranking for the 6th year in a row.  The High School also finished in the top 5 percent of all assessed high schools in South Dakota for the 5th time in 6 years and finished eight overall out of 164 high schools that were assessed last year.  Visit the SD Department of Education - Accountability Page to view the full report.
