On February 28th, Evie Kahnke, the 17 year-old daughter of Chad & Hollie Kahnke of Florence, South Dakota was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Luekima.  Evie is an all-around athlete that has been active in rodeo, volleyball, basketball, and track for many years, also participating in FFA and 4-H. When not competing, you could find her helping on the family ranch.  Evie is an intelligent, faithful & optomistic young lady with lots of grit. Currently, she is receiving chemotherapy at the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Evie’s bone marrow transplant will take place within the next 4-6 months at the University of Minnesota. Her older sister, Emily, is an identical bone marrow match and will be the donor.   For every $100 dollars donated for Evie a student volunteer will shave their head.  If your interested in donating or volunteering to shave your head, please sign up in Mrs. Foltz's room.
